Tell me I made the right choice
In my last blog I mentioned something about checking out Woman's Workout World. I went to their website and saw that they were offering no registration fees and they also had something to fill out and they would e-mail you a free three day pass. So I filled it out. The next day I had a phone call from someone but no e-mail. I called the lady back on my way home from work and she said I could come in the next day after work. So yesterday I brought stuff to change into and stopped on my way home. One lady showed me around the place and told me a bit more about the it. Then I talked to someone else about the different packages they have. They only had two. The only one that was offering a no registration fee was of course the more expensive one. They were also offering a very small discount on the monthly rate and half price for the first month. I asked if they would still have this deal when I come back from Florida and she said most likely no, they change them every month on the 15th. So I signed up, paid the $13 and then got on the tredmill for only about 10 minutes. First, I'm really out of shape and second, it was already 7 and I wanted to go home and have dinner.
So, I'm feeling good about my decision to join a gym and workout more than I could in this apartment. What I'm not feeling good about it the fact that it is a two year contract! Rob and I have been talking about moving to Florida when my credit cards are all paid off. That should be in less than two years. I also feel bad because him and I were talking about (a while ago) joining a gym together. He obviously can't join this one. I also think that I should have looked around a little more to see if I could get a better rate and a shorter or no contract.
Oh well, I'm stuck with it now so I might as well make the most of it. I will be going tomorrow morning before work for a good workout. Anyway, it's time to go to work.
