Quick and not so personal post

This post won't be as personal as yesterday's.

Today, I took the kids to Kid's Town. It is new and we had never been there. It was pretty cool. They had a lot of different little things to do there. They had several different rooms with things like a jail, pet hospital, a kitchen, a dance club, etc. They also had a play structure similar to the one's that they have at McDonalds except it was made so that smaller ones can play on it too. They also had a play area for babies. I think the kids had a lot of fun. A few other things that I really liked about it, they didn't really sell food there (they did have a few snacks for sale) so you could bring lunch and not feel guilty about not buying their food. They also have a locked half door to keep the kids in the play area but since it is a half door, an adult can reach over to get out. They also make everyone take shoes off so the floors don't get dirty and they make everyone sanitize hands before going in. The lady working there was also going around and constantly sanitizing all of the toys. So you know that it is clean and will stay that way. We spent a good amount of time there today. It was $10 per child which is a bit high but worth it if you spend a lot of time there like we did. It won't be something that we do a lot but we will be going back.

Last night Rob and I decided that we really need to start eating better. We have said this before and will keep up with it for about a week and then fall back into old habits. I hope this time we will keep up with it. This time we are going to try something a little different. We are going to try a salad diet. I'm excited about it because I love salad. We won't eat it every single night but most nights. We also won't eat the exact same one every night. We will switch on and off with putting egg or chicken in them. Maybe once in a while we will put steak in it too. My mom has a great salad that she makes with steak. Mmmm. Anyway, I am also trying to make myself drink a lot more water. I have been really bad about drinking throughout the day. I really only drink milk or water but I don't drink nearly enough. So I will be carrying my Camelbak water bottle around with me at all times (for the most part). I even have a post-it that will be living on the door that says "get water" so that I remember to take it with me to work. I did pretty good with it today. I drank two full bottles (over 24 oz each) during work today. I am now working on a third but probably won't drink too much because I don't want to be up all night. I can't wait for my body to get used to the increase in water so that I don't need to go to the bathroom as much. Anyway, I'm going to try and post about this in hopes that it will help me keep up with it. It will also help that Rob will be doing it too. He had to work tonight so we won't start until at least tomorrow. But we do have some other food that we need to finish before it goes bad so maybe we will eat that tomorrow and then go to the store after dinner. I also want to start eating more yogurt to get some more calcium.

Anyway, I am going to read some of my book before bed.
