I haven't even touched my camera in days! It's sad really. Anyway, I am joining a 20 week photo challenge. It's only 1 picture a week so lets hope I can do this! Hopefully I will pick up some followers along the way. Followers who actually read/comment on my blog. That will help me keep up! And I still plan on posting pictures from my weekend in Chicago including the one taken on the photo safari. Plus I know I still need to post pictures from the wedding. It's been over two months. But to be fair, I have yet to receive a disc with my photos. Right now I have the ones that were taken with my camera and a few of the ones my cousin/photographer took.

On another note, I am planning a photo shoot with the kids I nanny. Actually it will probably be a series of photo shoots. I then plan to make a photo book out of those pictures and give it to the parents for Christmas. I did something similar last year except the pictures were of all the things we did over the summer. This time I'd like it to focus more on the kids and photography. I also want to offer to do a family photo shoot for them. I haven't decided if I want that to be part of the Christmas present or if I want to offer it now and hopefully do it while the weather is still nice or this fall with all the pretty fall colors and leaves. I'm torn really. I also think that if I offer it now or before Christmas, maybe it would take away from the idea for their Christmas present. Anyway, I have been getting lots of ideas from local photographers websites and also the photography section on Pinterest. By the way, if anyone out there is a member of pinterest, I really want to join!! I need an invite. I click on the request invite button, enter my e-mail and nothing! I'm not sure how it works so I would love some help!!
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-972556612465726542011-07-06T07:36:00.002-05:002011-07-06T07:41:21.528-05:00Day 10 6/28/11This is what I woke up to this morning! I had just got a new magnetic calendar the day before and it came with magnets for each month and some holidays. I had it all nice and neat on the door. The next morning I walk out into the living room and see that it is no longer nice and neat! I shake my head thinking about how Rob likes to do things to drive me nuts. When I walked back into the room a second time I finally realize that it was a message. I quick took a picture and left to go to the gym. That night when I came home from work he had fixed it. I'm glad I took a picture when I did.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-37189069657298283572011-07-06T07:28:00.003-05:002011-07-06T07:36:32.816-05:00Day 9 6/27/11Okay so I've noticed that my pictures are starting to get boring but they are now just everyday kind of things. I'll have some interesting pictures now and then when something interesting happens in my life (like this coming weekend!). I also have to admit that there are two days that I didn't take a picture. One of them I can still take, the other I ate already. Oops. Oh well, I'm not giving up.

This picture I took because that bottle was my life for three days. The morning before I woke up and my ear was plugged up and I could hardly hear out of it. I assumed it was just build up so I was using this stuff to help loosen it up. It must have helped because finally on the fourth morning, it unplugged after I took a shower. No, I didn't go that long without a shower, it just took me that long to try and unplug it after a warm shower. Anyway, lesson learned, they are not lying to you when they tell you not to insert a q-tip all the way in your ear. It really will just push everything in deeper. It took a while, but it finally caught up to me.
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-39313401339954032352011-07-05T07:33:00.001-05:002011-07-05T07:33:59.912-05:00Bad bad bad!Okay so obviously I did not get up to date like I said I would. If it helps, I didn't update my other blog either and that one is further behind! And has more followers! Anyway, I plan on updating throughout the week. I know I won't get to it next weekend as that will be one busy, fun filled weekend!

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-24432217720421305042011-07-02T13:08:00.002-05:002011-07-02T13:12:27.144-05:00I'm still hereI didn't give up. I have pictures for each day I just need to find the time to sit and post each day. I should have time tomorrow despite the fact that it is my birthday. I will have several hours all to myself. And since the apartment is getting cleaned today, I shouldn't have to do that. However, I still haven't wrote my thank you cards for the wedding yet. That also needs to be done this weekend. Which also reminds me that I wanted to post pictures of the wedding in case anyone who is not a facebook friend reads this blog. Also, today's picture will be a yummy one. I haven't taken the picture yet but I know what it is going to be. But first I must get my butt into the kitchen!Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-40355900458897275852011-06-28T07:22:00.010-05:002011-06-28T07:49:52.790-05:00Day 8 6/26/11
On Sunday I dragged Rob downtown with me and took over 200 pictures. Today Rob was nice enough to go to Naperville with me so I could practice. He was even nice enough to carry my camera bag and water for me! I should take him with me always! Anyway, today I'm doing this a bit different. Yup, that's right, we had a snowball fight in June! As you can see it was only cotton balls. It goes along with the theme we did this week. I think I am getting better with the indoor pictures but still have a lot to learn about what settings to change and when. I am still getting a lot of grainy pictures. So the kids are usually in swimsuits when we go there.

Even though I haven't perfected the indoor pictures just yet, I still really like the second picture. We went to an indoor play area which is pretty dark. I think I got some good shots in manual both with and without flash. After, we went to a park. Outside pictures are always my favorite anyway. It was nice to finally get to see what this camera could do outside. Here is one of my favorite pictures of M in the swing.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-86036759756278835972011-06-22T07:30:00.002-05:002011-06-22T07:42:45.418-05:00Day 1- 6/19/11On Sunday I got my new camera. I have always had my eye on the camera strap covers that I see in other blogs and have always wanted to make one. So as soon as the decision was made that I would be getting my new camera, I started looking up tutorials for how to make a camera strap cover. I decided to use this tutorial http://littlebiggirlstudio.blogspot.com/2010/08/tutorial-camera-strap-cover-with-lens.html. Now I need to find a tutorial on how to put a link in here without it looking like that! So while my new camera was charging I went to JoAnn's to pick out some fabric. I love the colors and the way it all looks together. The tutorial was pretty easy to follow and the most time consuming part was cutting out the fabric. I would LOVE to have a cutting mat and rotary cutter! It would make things like this a LOT faster! So if anyone wants to get me a birthday present (which is in less than 2 weeks btw), you know what I want!

Anyway, most of the other pictures I took that day were of random objects, the bookcase, a pillow, a candle. I just wanted to practice changing settings and figuring out what settings to use in my current lighting situation.
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-34567690723058353742011-06-21T22:05:00.001-05:002011-06-21T22:05:50.529-05:00Update and a few changesOkay okay, I know I did a horrible job keeping this up to date while planning the wedding. Really, there wasn't much to document. The planning went pretty smoothly. I did enjoy making some of the things for the wedding. I will post pictures of them later as well as the wedding pics.

The wedding day was lovely! It did however rain big time that afternoon and despite everyone telling me that it would stop in time, I couldn't help but freak out a little! Okay a lot! Who could blame me?

Anyway, the whole two weeks were totally amazing! I loved spending that time with Rob and not having to go to work or worry about this and that! I also love that we can be together that long and not get sick of each other, annoyed, angry, or whatever else. I completely enjoyed it!

Now that we are home and back to reality, I am enjoying my summer with the kids. I am doing a good job of keeping up with that blog now that summer is here!

This weekend I got a new toy!

A Nikon D3000!

I'm totally in love! I have had my eye on this camera for about a year now. The thing is, I'm still learning photography and learning to stay away from auto! My old camera lived on auto, not this one! So that is where the change comes in. Since it's time to get rid of the "Wedding Thoughts" title, I think it would be fun to do something similar to how I started this blog, with a picture a day. But not just a picture a day, I want to take at least one picture (in manual of course) everyday with my new camera. I think it would be fun to document my progress. It will be nice to see the changes over time. I'd like to shoot for a year but we will see. We all know how I keep up with my blogs. I don't! No matter, I am going to try it!

I will be learning some photography skills coming up. My sister and I are going to take a class with Chicago Photo Safaris. I am super excited about it! Actually, I'm looking forward to that weekend for more than just that class. My sister is coming and we are staying over night in Chicago. We are seeing DMB in concert also! I really think this is turning out to be a great year for me! I can only think of one other thing that would make it better! Those who know me well know what it is.

Anyway, the changes will be coming some time within the week and maybe some wedding photos as well. So far I have at least one pic for each day since I bought the camera. I will continue to take them and while I may not post them each day, there will be one for each day starting with the day the camera was purchased.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-24159520398826785402011-02-23T21:46:00.001-06:002011-02-23T21:46:17.174-06:00That's right, in less than 3 months, Rob and I will married! It is coming up quick! I feel like there is still a lot left to do, but really there isn't. The biggest thing is saving money and getting to my goal weight. I am down just over 15 pounds now! I am currently doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It is going good. I am really proud of how long I stuck with it! Today was day 17! That means 17 straight days of working out. No days off! I have been tempted to skip once or twice (last night!) but I didn't. See if I were to skip, it wouldn't count as a day. As I do each day, I am one day closer to being done and one day closer to my goal! I like this program because when I think that way, it keeps me going. She is coming out with another 30 day program next month and I might do that one too to keep me going. The downside is, it is cutting into my time at the gym. I am still taking the classes on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings because I love those classes but otherwise, I do my workout in the morning and don't go to the gym. I am taking pictures of my progress every ten days and so far, after the first ten, I can see a bit of a difference. When I finish the 30 days, I would like to post my before and after pics.

Anyway, I was going to do more updating in the planning but it is getting late and typing on my phone is starting to drive me nuts! Hopefully I'll get to it soon but knowing me, it will probably be a while!

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Location:Less than 3 months!
Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-35494005322206636722011-01-18T21:29:00.002-06:002011-01-18T21:32:34.569-06:00Less than four monthsI can't believe that the wedding is less than four months away. I have a lot to post about. A lot has been done in the past week and I really want to get it all down. The wedding is really coming together. However, it is 9:30 and I, for some reason, can't seem to sleep past 4:45 am and I am really tired and need to go to bed. So, I promise to post all of the updates some time this week or weekend.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-66516461921908462892011-01-02T08:50:00.003-06:002011-01-02T09:58:11.505-06:00Goodbye 2010... Hello 20112010 was a year full of ups and downs.

In the beginning of the year I was still trying to deal with my new job. It took me a long time to get over the fact that I had lost my previous job.

I then lost two grandparents, first my Oma and then my Grandfather.

In March Rob and I celebrated out two year anniversary. We spent the first part of it at E's birthday party and then went to dinner. I think I was asleep by 9 that night since I had a cold.

June was a good month. One of my best friends got married and I got to be in the wedding. I had a blast that weekend! Later that month my niece turned a year old. I was happy that we were all able to be there to celebrate with them (with the exception of Rob and Amanda).

Summer was good but went by entirely too fast. I had a blast with the kids at work. We did a lot of fun things and I was sad to see the end of summer. For the last three weeks of the summer, the family went to Australia so I was off of work. My mom and I went to Ohio to see my sister and then the three of us went to North Carolina to visit Laura. It was a great weekend! I miss spending so much time with all three of them!

In September E started kindergarten and we all settled back into a routine.

In October my family and I celebrated my dad and sister's birthdays. Unfortunately Rob was not able to be there. We all went out to dinner. I got the chance to talk to Amanda about Weight Watchers which she had started a few weeks before. I was very interested in it and decided to try it. Although I didn't pay for it, I had a lot of good tips from her and found a calculator. The first few weeks went great! That month Rob also decided that he was going to join the Navy. It was a big decision that we both feel will open a lot of opportunities for us both.

In November Rob and I officially got engaged. We always knew that we were going to get married and the fact that he is joining the Navy means that we need to start making plans. It was more of a conversation than an actual proposal but I could not be more excited. For more details, read my other posts.

In December I was in a small car accident. No one was hurt and it was my fault. I looked down briefly at my phone which I had been using as a GPS since I was trying to find someones house. We had been sitting at a red light so I decided to look at the map. The light turned green, the guy in front of me started going and then stopped again. I didn't see that he had stopped so I hit him. There was minimal damage to his car and he was really nice about it. He even ran back to where I hit him in the rain to get my front license plate. My car had a bit more damage done to it but nothing that had to be fixed right away. That night, Rob gave me my ring. He was actually picking it out at the time that I was in the accident. He wasn't going to give it to me that night but decided that it might help me feel better about what happened. He said that he knew what would make me feel better and then went to the refrigerator and got me a bottle of Mike's hard lemonade. I took it out of his hand and under the bottle was my ring. So I still got my surprise!

December also brings Christmas. Christmas was good this year. I was actually able to get Rob something good this year. It was between a kindle or a kincet. I was hoping to get him the kindle because that is what he really wanted but they were sold out everywhere! So I went with the kinect which we both have enjoyed using. We even brought it to Michigan and my mom and dad even enjoyed playing some of the games. It was fun to watch! Of course from Rob, my ring was a big part of my Christmas gift but he still managed to find several other things that I really wanted like a speaker dock for my phone, an arm band for my phone for when I work out, Toy Story 3, and the money to get my ring re sized (which is where my ring is right now). We also finally got a new tv which is something we have been wanting to get for about two years now. From my work family, I received a very generous Christmas gift, an iPad. It meant a lot to me that they really wanted to show me how much they appreciate me. They tell me all the time and even have the kids thank me everyday before I leave. I was blown away by this gift! I have been blessed with the families that I have worked for. Out of four, three of them have been amazing! I have always felt appreciated by the three of them.

Even though my year has ended on a good note, it seems as though there are others around me that were not so lucky. Some of them are close to me and some I only know through blogland. First, I have been reading a woman's blog since this summer. She just found out before Christmas that her five year old son has a unfavorable type of tumor. I was very sad to hear this even though I don't really know the family, I feel like I do. Another blog that I read, the family has two year old twins and the parents have decided to separate. Again, even though I don't really know them, I was surprised to learn that. Yesterday I learned some more bad news. This time it was from a family that I am close with. It was actually my first nanny family. While I was working for them, they moved to Maine and bought a market. Last week the market suffered a fire. It looks to be a burglary and arson. I was very sad to hear about this and wish that I could be there with the family even though I know there is not much I can do for them. If any of my readers are the praying type (or even if you are not), all of these families could use your prayers!
So at that, I will say goodbye 2010.

I look forward to what 2011 has to offer! It is going to be an exciting and life changing year! I will be married and we will find out if Rob will be able to join the Navy. If he is able, there will be some tough times ahead but I am confident that we will get through them and come out stronger because of them.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-32382654994628024912011-01-02T08:23:00.004-06:002011-01-02T08:50:14.878-06:00Wedding updatesSo we have an official date- 5/14/2011. We also decided on a location. The ceremony is going to be on Sunset beach in Treasure Island. The cool thing about this beach is that we don't have to pay for permits for a wedding on this beach. So we just basically have to show up and set up. We are doing the ceremony right before sunset and doing pictures right after. Then we are having a small reception right after across the street at the house my parents are renting. My friend Laura is making the invitations for me. She made the invitations for her wedding and they looked great. Now I just need to order the paper and have it sent to her. She is going to do the printing and then we will put them all together. She sent me some samples and Rob and I picked one out that we both really like. We also decided not to let anyone see them until they are sent out. Obviously Laura will see them but that is it.

The weekend after Thanksgiving my sister came out here and we went dress shopping. I tried on several dresses and found some I really like. We then went online and found some similar on their website that were priced a lot better. I ordered the dress and got it in just over a week. When I tried it on, it fit almost perfectly. The straps are a little long and that is it. When I went to Michigan for Christmas I brought my dress with me so that I can leave it hanging for a while. My mom also took some pictures of me wearing it. Here is the picture. Please excuse the wrinkles.

Soon it will be time for the decorating details of the wedding planning.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-68615361103243400482010-11-22T07:33:00.002-06:002010-11-22T07:39:23.342-06:00Weight WatchersBefore we started making wedding plans, I decided to start Weight Watchers. I knew that there was a possibility of a wedding in the near future because Rob is planning on joining the Navy soon and we want to be married first. I also wanted to loose the weight for a healthier lifestyle. Anyway, I just finished my 4th week of it and I have lost a total of 8.6 pounds! I am very happy with it and even though Rob says it is a flawed program, it is working for me! The thought of me being in a wedding dress in May will hopefully keep me motivated to keep going. I also figured it out and if I can loose between 1-2 pounds per week (which is what is the healthy recommendation and what I have been averaging anyway), I can loose between 25 and 50 pounds before the wedding. I think that is great and it would get me pretty darn close to my overall goal if not at my goal. Wow!Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-10970836588570613602010-11-21T14:34:00.002-06:002010-11-21T15:01:48.974-06:00Exciting changesI decided to give the blog a new look for a while because......

Rob and I are getting married!! I chose the layout because it goes with the wedding theme. We are getting married in Florida on the beach. The wedding will be in May. We are trying for May 14th but since we don't have a place set for sure, that date could change. However, I have started calling places and it doesn't seem like that date will be a problem as long as we get things going.

Even though the engagement part did not go like I had dreamed, I still very happy and excited about this. I always said that I wanted a surprise engagement with a ring that Rob picked out without my help and that is not how it happened. It was more like a conversation that we had last Sunday. No ring, no proposal but now that it is here, that doesn't matter to me anymore. And last night we were looking at rings online together. Even though it didn't work out like I expected, I couldn't be happier. The most important thing is, we will be getting married!

We are trying to do the wedding on a budget but I think it will still be very nice. I really like the idea of having the wedding on the beach. I really want a bamboo arch and a aisle to walk down. The aisle will basically just have decorations along the sides with chairs on either side. The size will probably be small because I don't think a lot of our family will be able to make it. I would love to have everyone there but we will just have to settle for immediate family and a few close friends. I am fine with that. I do still want to have a party later to celebrate in Michigan with everyone who was not able to make it.

So far, I am a week into planning and for the first few days, my head was spinning in all sorts of directions. But now I finally have a better idea of exactly what I want, where to look and I have started making phone calls and talking to people. Hopefully within the next week or so we will have a place nailed down for sure. Once that is done, I will be able to relax again.

Next weekend my sister is coming and possibly my mom and we are going dress shopping. I'm excited about that! I miss my sister a ton and I am so glad that she will get to be a part of that! She will be my maid of honor. I wanted to have a few other friends in the wedding party but we decided that since it will be a small wedding, it would be best to just go with a best man and maid of honor. However, my friends that I origanally wanted in the wedding have all said that they will be there!

My hope for this blog is that I update about the wedding plans on a regular basis. Even if that is all I post about, I want to at least have my wedding thoughts saved somewhere.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-1484684549407207672010-07-01T07:29:00.002-05:002010-07-01T07:38:13.615-05:00I'm neglecting this blog :(I have never been really good at keeping up with this blog but ever since I started my other blog, this one has seen fewer and fewer new posts. It partly because I don't have a ton of readers and partly because I don't have the time. When I do have the time, there is always something more important/interesting to be doing. What is worse, is that I have ideas for two new blogs that I would like to start sometime in the near future. The question is, do I keep this one going? Do I link the new ones with this one or my other one. All of the blogs I follow are on this account so I don't want to delete it completely. I also don't want this one linked to my other one for the fact that my employers may read that one (I gave them the link). However, they could still find this one which makes me want to delete it and start again. But on the other hand, I don't think they ever read the other one and they were so excited about it. I also don't want to loose all of my previous posts that I have on here. Okay this keeps going in circles so I will leave you with a list of things I would like to blog about when I have the time.

*My trip downtown with Jackie (like two months ago)
*Laura's wedding
*C's 1st birthday
*My trip to Michigan with Rob
And probably a few more that I have forgotten by now. This winter was kinda rough and I was really looking forward to the warm weather. Now that summer is here, I'm not so sure why I like it so much. Maybe I should re-think my favorite season. Maybe I outgrew it.

I grew up in Michigan less than a mile from the beach. I also grew up with a swimming pool in my yard. I love the beach and I love swimming! Summer meant no school, spending time by the pool or at the beach, and spending endless hours on the phone with friends.

I no longer spend endless hours on the phone because I have to pay for that time and I don't really have endless hours to spend on the phone. I also do not live very close at all to a beach. I have access to a pool but I really don't want to swim with the people of our apartment complex. Yuck. And, being a nanny, no school still means work, that means having both kids everyday all day and it means that the places we go to will be more crowded. I'm looking forward to going to the zoo but I know that it is going to be, well, a zoo.

Another thing that I am not really liking about this summer, the heat! I love the sun, it makes me happy, but I don't want to sweat just standing in the shade! It's only May! Also, I live in a third floor apartment with only an ac unit in the living room. It hasn't cooled down enough at night to sleep comfortably in the bedroom. Last night I actually slept in bed but it was one of the worst nights of sleep I've had in a while. The two nights before that, Rob and I slept on the air mattress in the living room. It wasn't great sleep, but it was cool and much better than last night. I also dread seeing the electric bill after having that thing run almost nonstop. Ugh!

I'm ready for fall!Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-22865563906684172662010-05-18T21:49:00.003-05:002010-05-18T21:52:08.343-05:00CommentsI love getting comments on my blog but I am sick of getting spam! I set up comment moderation but still get crap that I can't read! Grrr!

Anyway, over the weekend Jackie came to visit me and we went downtown. When I have time (hopefully tomorrow night) I will post pictures!Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1035399728849719378.post-43993911461731644112010-05-10T20:39:00.002-05:002010-05-10T21:02:23.372-05:00Hopes for my future childrenA month ago I lost my Oma. Last night I lost my grandfather. It has really made me think about my relationship with both sets of grandparents. My Oma and Opa (mom's parents) lived in the Netherlands. As kids we saw them once a year if we were lucky. On top of that there was the language barrier. I didn't speak or understand a whole lot of dutch and the same for them with english. I loved them dearly but to say we were close is not true. I had to rely on the stories I heard about them to know anything about them.

As far as my Grandma and Grandpa (dad's parents), we were closer but I was one of ten grandchildren. We saw them on most holidays and here and there but I still wouldn't say I was very close to them. I remember as a child that we would go off and play and do our own thing whenever we visited with them. I never really joined in the conversations. I regret that now. I realize how much I could have learned from them and about them this way.

Growing up I had a friend that lived down the road from her grandparents and spent the afternoons with her Grandma until her dad and Grandpa came home from work. They would then (on most nights) all eat dinner together. I loved that. They were really close. She could tell her Grandma anything. Her Grandma would take us all shopping and out to lunch. I'm not saying that I wished I had her grandparents over mine at all but I sometimes wish I would have had that kind of close relationship with my grandparents. That is the kind of relationship I want my kids to have with their grandparents.

Rob and I have talked about where we would like to live. We have mentioned living in Florida, Michigan and just staying here. Since all of this has happened, I have really realized that where ever we end up living, it has to be close to at least one set of grandparents and I want my kids to be close with at least one set of grandparents. I don't really have a preference which set, just that they are able to see them often.

Another thing that got me thinking about my future kids' grandparents was when the grandparents came to stay with Scooby and Ladybug for the weekend. I love how they spoil those kids. They bring them toys, buy them toys, let them eat things like donuts and marshmallows, and probably do a lot of things they normally would not get away with with me or their parents. As much as it made me cringe or made things hard when they left, I know that they needed that. I think all kids should get that. Grandparents are supposed to do that and get away with it (as long as it is in moderation). I think it's good for kids to live under different rules once in a while.

I want my kids to have all of that.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17679338881007190332noreply@blogger.com1
