Digital photography
I know I have been MIA for a while but right now we have zero working computers. I have also started another blog that is more on the nanny side of things. I'm excited to get it going a little more but it really is easier if I have a computer. Hopefully I will have one on May 7th!
The other reason I need one is for photography. I have always had an interest in doing photography on the side. Well today I have decided to actually take some steps in that direction. I posted about it on facebook and already have three people that are willing to let me practice on them or their kids. I am actually doing my first today! Plus, I plan to practice on the kids this week at work. Once I have some good pictures and a computer, I need to buy and learn to use some photo editing software. Then I think I will make a blog just for photography so that I can have a place for people to go and view my work. Then hopefully I can start making some money doing this!
Like I said earlier, I am doing my first practice shoot today. I am using Rob's step sister and half brother. We are going over there when he gets off of work. Since it is a nice day, we should be able to get some good pictures of the kids outside at the park. Then we are having a bbq. I will try and post about it later tonight. I'm excited but a little nervous. I've taken plenty of pictures of kids but never like this. I'm sure it will be fine and it's good that I can practice on people I already know.

Christine, as far as software goes, there are a few free programs I use for Leah's pictures. For one, I use GIMP 2, and there are a lot of online tutorials to help get you started with the various tools on there. I also use pixlr.com, I love their vignette (I know, I butchered that. I don't even care) and how portable it is. I can't wait for a photoshoot with you. :)
Thanks! I will try them out this weekend. I can't wait for our photo shoot too. Maybe you will be able to teach me something.
